Canteen is a water tracker for iPhone. Your water entries, goals, and settings stay in Canteen on your iPhone. Apple Health is used only if you connect it, and only for water.
Canteen can share anonymous usage stats to help improve the app. They stay off until you turn on Share usage data in Settings. When on, Canteen sends which features you use and how many days you have been active, as counts and ranges. These go to PostHog, a product-analytics provider in the United States, with your IP address discarded. They are kept up to one year, and anything already sent is deleted within 30 days if you ask.
If you use Send feedback, Canteen sends the note you choose to write.
